Weekly Meditations and
Dharma Discussions

Our sangha holds meditations and dharma discussion the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Tuesdays of each month, at the Eno River Unitarian Universalist Church on Garrett Rd. in Durham. (See below for information on the Raleigh sitting group.) We will meet from 7:00-8:30 pm in the Chapel, which is in the main building to the right of the Sanctuary.

On the first three Tuesdays of each month we will sit for around 30-35 minutes, which will be followed by 15 minutes of walking meditation. The first Tuesday of each month John will give a short dharma talk. If time allows, this will be followed by a brief question and answer period. On the second and third Tuesday there will be a short dharma talk on the month's topic followed by a discussion period.

Please plan on arriving by 6:50 so we can be in our seats by 7:00. We will end around 8:30 so those living at a distance can get home at a reasonable hour.

All are welcome to attend: students who are new to meditation,
as well as more experienced practitioners. If you are new to meditation and need meditation instructions one of our senior students will meet you during this first sitting to give you instructions and guidance in the practice. If there are any other questions concerning the group please call John Orr at 919-943-0438 or contact him via e-mail.

New Hope Sangha is a resource for anyone who wishes to learn and practice the dharma. We are a nondenominational community with respect for the wisdom in all spiritual traditions. Our practice is grounded in Vipassana (Mindfulness) Meditation.

There is no fee charged. There will be a donation basket available to help support the use of the space. On nights with a dharma talk there will be a donation basket available to help support the teacher.

We hope you will join us for our meditations.
